Much of what you’ve heard is true. Or might be. It depends on what you heard.
I am an expert in Microsoft Access and VBA. I’m pretty strong in PHP and MySQL. The Web Dev link has more about my skills and availability.
I play the game of Go on KGS using the name Smandoli.
I’m fascinated by things like:
- Organizational dynamics, particularly as modeled in John Zachmann’s Enterprise Architecture
- Edward Tufte’s ideas on presenting data
- Mind mapping diagrams as developed (most famously of late) by Tony Buzon
- Knowledge management. This is a huge interest for me; for example, recently I witnessed my wife saying, “Also, Doctor, I’m concerned because he is spending a lot of time on this thing he has on the computer called TiddlyWiki.”
I love music and color. I play mandolin and lap dulcimer.
Solomon said “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.” I believe there’s much yet to be discovered about how we think, act, play, and talk with each other and God.
